However, finding the best apps to curate your Instagram feed with a grid to match your aesthetic can be incredibly time consuming. It has taken me months to select the apps that work for me and don’t charge extra for each editing tool.
I’m here to hopefully save you the time and money – here are the three free key apps you need to create your aesthetic Instagram feed:
I have tried pretty much every free photo editing app in the Play Store and Picsart is the only one that has survived over a year now. Many free apps claim to be free but have their best features behind a paywall. On the contrary, Picsart is able to replicate key features of Airbrush while also allowing you to edit your background and more. There are cool templates from the community that you can try on your pictures and lots of fun editing gimmicks.
All in all, this app is always my first stop when editing pictures. I use it to crop my images to fit the Instagram layout but also edit the background and basics. A must-have in my opinion.
I know a lot of people swear by VSCO for filters. I swear by A Color Story. They offer two free filter packages which are all you really need. Firstly, the ‘Style’ filters have a very typical ‘Instagram Aesthetic’ feel to them. In addition, you can save your edits and apply them to multiple pictures.
This is by far my favourite app for creating that Instagram feed aesthetic.
Feed Preview is a really simple way to plan your feed, add any pictures you think you want to use and create your feed layout and aesthetic. You can also already add your captions.
This app is such a basic for any content creator and a key component of any Instagram strategy.
